Tuesday 7th January - walks *** – Around Trimley and Felixstowe – sunny and cold.

The cold snap of weather continues but at least the sun is out and the sky is blue which always makes things look better. As it is Tuesday our day for an afternoon visit to see Mary Mag and I were keen to to get out for a walk to make the most of the sun! So after my exercises and breakfast we decided to drive again to start our walk from the Trimley churches and to show Mag the first of the snowdrops! We parked in Church Lane at 11.15 and went with wellies today, Mag tried a pair we found at my Dads bungalow which belonged to Shirley and set off for a circuit of the church yard looking better today set against a blue sky, spooking some rabbits and seeing a pair of blue tits flitting about! We then head down Church Lane to farm to Crowswell Way taking the path which winds through the tree right next to the A 14 sliproad! Across Howlett Way and through the houses of Trimley St. Martin to the new Wimpey houses, across the muddy fields to the large green footbridge, we walk to the top to take in the view but stay on the Trimley side as we don’t want to walk too far as my heel is still not great and Mag is having trouble with her back and neck:( I got a nice pic of the reflections in a large puddle as the farmland is pretty wet, back to Gun Lane we cross the High Road to the van and home for lunch, yummy homemade soup.
Then we walk to the cliff top to see the sea and spot several container ships off Felixstowe, through the town and end up at Mary's for a cuppa and chat.
For the second day the lovely Chris Page on ITV’s About Anglia uses one of my pics on his weather forecast:)
